The Outlaw Cycle Starts this week
Our training block, the Outlaw Cycle, starts tomorrow which is a 9-week block.
This block will heavily emphasize progressive strength work with key lifts:
Back Squats & Front Squats – Building absolute strength & positional strength
Overhead Squats & Bench Press
Deadlifts – Improving posterior chain development & pulling strength
Strongman & KB Work – Focused on midline strength, pulling power, and positional control
There will be Olympic lifts focussing on the percentages below:
Snatches – 3×2 @ 75-85% into 3×1 @ 85-90%
Clean & Jerks – 3×2 @ 75-85% into 3x1 @ 85-90%
There will be skill work and will follow the theme:
Mixed-modal so we can continue to move throughout the session.
Develop and refine movement proficiency, for strength development.
Practice under fatigue while still learning new skills and refining.
We’re looking forward to cracking into this new cycle, the coaches have set challenges and focusses for the week to ensure we can deliver the programming according to the stimulus. As well as ensure we give constructive coaching feedback and cues to help with the continued development of our community.
